[Wargaming] Firestorm Armada - Aquan Prime fleet

A quick wargaming update today. I should really be painting Cryx models for my Venethrax Theme force as part of the Lost Hemisphere Challenge 2013. But after getting two layers on the skin of all of the Mechanithralls I wanted a break from them. Fortunately I (like most wargamers) have a large supply of unpainted models. So I dug out some of my Firestorm Armada models.

Firestorm Armada is a space-based fleet combat game from Spartan Games. I wanted to get some of the models from the first time that I saw them. They're really nice, and there aren't many that I dislike across the whole range. I managed to pick up a couple of fleets quite cheaply on Ebay, and have been waiting for a chance to paint them.

I decided to start with the Aquan Prime fleet. I want something quite bright and colourful for them, and decided on purple for no reason other than the fact that I don't have any other range of models in purple! So far I've painted a starter box, a carrier, and two groups of escorts.

Next up on my Firestorm Armada painting list is an equivalent set of ships for my other fleet, the Relthoza. But they'll be waiting a while; I really need to get those Cryxians done!
