[Warmachine] Painting progress
Today sees the confluence of two unusual events - an actual blog post (!), and some models that I've painted (!!). Yes, that's right, I've actually managed to get some painting in.
Actually, these models were all painted some time ago. But I've been lazy at updating the blog and am only just getting around to putting pictures up. All of them were painted as part of the "Paint the Target" series run by GdayBloke over at the excellent Lost Hemisphere blog (check it out).
The first model to show off today is for my Circle Orboros army. It's actually an old metal Confrontation model that I use as a proxy Stonekeeper Unit Attachment for my scratch-built shifting stones. His more feral look goes well with the set of stones that I built from slate pieces, while the bulkier set of stones will get a standard Stonekeeper model.

The second set of models are from my Convergence of Cyriss army: six reflex servitors and a scratch-built objective marker. These were all painted in the run-up to SmogCon this year, and in fact I think I finished them the Thursday night before the convention! They were really simple to paint up, but look pretty good I think. They don't quite match the rest of my Convergence, which were painted when I bought them, but they're close enough that they fit in (and will be a better match when I get some grass tufts for the bases).

The objective marker is made out of spare parts from the heavy vector kits. The ones I bought were single configuration builds, but the person I bought them from kindly included all of the spares, which I cannibalised. It looks pretty good on the table.
Another view of the servitors and objective. They're a decent enough match to my other Convergence models. (Credit: David Brown)
So there you go, some actual painted models! Next on the painting table will either be Axis, the full unit of Mechanithralls that I've had in a nearly finished state for roughly three years, or the full unit of Blackbane's Ghost Raiders that are partly done. But I also have quite a few models in the build stage, hmmmm......
